The safari set out in the early hours in pursuit of the endemic star bird of the area .The Schallow’s Turaco . You will head straight to a site just above the Victoria Falls .Upon getting to this site will disembark the vehicle for a short walk to the edge of the River . Us will listen our to our potential subjects, the African sunrise will be rising on the east above the spray of the Victoria Falls . Hopeful by this time we would have heard the Schallow’s Turaco . There are several other species that can be spotted along the famous Zambezi Drive, be it the Collared Palm Thrush ,Ashy Fly Catcher ,Trumpeter Horn Bill or the Bat Hawk.
You will also look out for the African Fin foot floating down the Zambezi River.After exhausting the the Zambezi Drive will head towards the Zambezi National Park for the rest of the morning .A stop by the river and a Guide ’s Breakfast will be served.As will enjoy a sip of coffee or will edge you to look out for the Giant King Fisher on the lower branches of the tree close to the water of the small but beautiful malachite King Fisher sitting on a straw of reed along the edge of the river.
After enjoying our ‘Guide’s Breakfast will be chasing the high flyers . Tawny Eagle, Western Banded Snake eagle, Martial Eagle and several species of vultures will be in the skies by now. The melodious Bearded Scrub Robin or the White borrowed Scrub Robin will provide the entertainment as we wind up the morning.
