Chobe National Park | Okavango Delta

A Taste Of What To Expect..

2 nights chobe national park ( boat cruise in chobe national park, game drives and home to largest population of elephants), 2 nights savuti ( leopards in the hills , lions, wild dogs ), 2 nights Okavango delta moremi Khwai ( lots of birds, mokoro / canoeing in the Okavango delta, lions and wild dogs), 2 nights Okavango delta moremi xakanaxa ( lions, cheetah and rhino can be sported).

Day 1: 09h00-12h30 guest are picked from the lodge for boat cruise into the chobe river. The luggage will remain with the guide on the time the guests will be in the boat cruise till 12h30. Guests will be picked by the guide and drive straight to the camping site in chobe national park for their lunch. On arrival they will be received by camping staff who will introduce them to their new home in the wilderness. Guests will have lunch and have a short rest.

15h00- 18h00 guest with their guide will leave the camp for their afternoon game drive. 19h30: dinner will be served at this time followed by camp fire.

Day 2: : 06h00 – 07h00 guests are waken with a native language “ kokoo” meaning knock knock and a morning greeting “dumelang” meaning good morning. On waking up guests will find warm water in the face wash basin to wash faces and go for breakfast. After breakfast guest with their guide will leave for morning game drive at 06h00- 11h30. 12h30 lunch will be served and after lunch guests can request for shower or just before afternoon game-drive they can request for shower. The policy of the park is no one is allowed to bath at night in the campsite.15h00-18h00 this will be afternoon game drive. For every afternoon game-drive guest have cold drinks and water with them in the fridge. 18h00 end of afternoon game drive. 19h30 time for dinner and camp fire.

Day 3: 07h00- 08h30 guests are waken with a native language “ kokoo “ meaning knock knock and greeted “Dumelang “ Meaning “good morning”. They prepare their luggage and exit the tents with their luggage. They will find warm water in the face wash basin to wash their faces. They will then get to breakfast. After breakfast they embark on their game drive vehicle and take a short drive in chobe national park and exit the park proceeding to Savuti. On the way there will be packed lunch and some refreshments. There will be stop over on the way and game drives after all the way even on arrival in savuti game drive continues till arrival at camping site at 17h30. Camping staff will welcome guests and introduce them to their tents. Chef will give a call for dinner at 19h30 and introduce his cuisine. After dinner camp fire with staff and share folklores to one another.

Day 4: 05h30-06h00 guests are woken with a native language “kokoo” meaning knock knock and greeted. On waking up guests will find warm water ready in face wash basin just to wash their faces. They will then take breakfast and go for morning game drive. Savuti is known for its wild dogs, lions and leopard and it will be duty of the guide to take guest to places he knows best. Morning game drive will continue and cover not to miss “ the leopard hills”. Game drive will continue till 11h30 then return to the camping site for lunch at 12h30. Guests will rest after lunch and continue with afternoon gamedrive at 15h00 – 18h00 and return to camp. Shower can be requested before afternoon game drive and this will quickly be arranged by the camp handyman. 19h30- chef will give a call for dinner and give a brief explanation about his cuisine. After dinner camp fire will follow and share life experiences around the camp fire.

Day 5: 06h00- 07h00 guests are are woken with a native language “ kokoo “ meaning knock knock and greeted “Dumelang “ Meaning “good morning”. They prepare their luggage and exit the tents with their luggage. They will find warm water in the face wash basin to wash their faces. They will then get to breakfast. After breakfast they embark on their game drive vehicle and take a short drive in savuti and exit the park proceeding to Okavango delta ( moremi khwai). Guests will be having packed lunch and prepared tea and drinks in refrigerator on their way Okavango delta . This will be a journey with stop overs on the way and would take around 3 – 4hours to arrive in Okavango delta moremi khwai but the journey will continue till at 18h00 because there will be game drives and even on the arrival in Okavango delta. Arrival at camp site will be at 17h30 where by camp staff will welcome guests and introduce them to their camp in Okavango delta. 19h30 dinner will be served followed by camp fire.

Day 6: 06h00-07h00 guests are woken with a native language “kokoo” meaning knock knock and greeted. On waking up guests will find warm water ready in face wash basin just to wash their faces. They will then take breakfast and go for morning game drive. Moremi khwai is known for its wild dogs, lions and leopard and it will be the duty of the guide to take guest to places he knows best. Morning game drive will continue to the mokoro or canoe station where the guests will take a two hour mokoro in the delta till 12h30 and return to the camp for lunch. After lunch guests can rest or request for shower to be prepared by camp handman. 15h00- 18h00 afternoon game drive. 19h30 chef will give a dinner call and after dinner the camp team and guests can all congregate by the camp fire and interact with one another.

Day 7: : 07h00- 08h30 guests are are waken with a native language “ kokoo “ meaning knock knock and greeted “Dumelang “ Meaning “good morning”. They prepare their luggage and exit the tents with their luggage. They will find warm water in the face wash basin to wash their faces. They will then get to breakfast. After breakfast they embark on their game drive vehicle and take a short drive in moremi khwai and exit the park proceeding to moremi xakanaxa. On the way there will be packed lunch and some refreshments. There will be stop over on the way and game drives after all the way even on arrival in moremi xakanaxa game drive continues till arrival at camping site at 17h30. Camping staff will welcome guests and introduce them to their tents. Chef will give a call for dinner at 19h30 and introduce his cuisine. After dinner camp fire with staff and share folklores to one another.

Day 8: 05h30-06h00 guests are woken with a native language “kokoo” meaning knock knock and greeted. On waking up guests will find warm water ready in face wash basin just to wash their faces. They will then take breakfast and go for morning game drive. In Moremi xakanxa there is a choice for boat cruise in the Okavango delta paid at own expenses. Game drive will continue till 11h30 then return to the camping site for lunch at 12h30. Guests will rest after lunch and continue with afternoon gamedrive at 15h00 – 18h00 and return to camp. Shower can be requested before afternoon game drive and this will quickly be arranged by the camp handyman. 19h30- chef will give a call for dinner and give a brief explanation about his cuisine. After dinner camp fire will follow and share life experiences around the camp fire.

Day 9: : 06h00- 07h00 guests are are woken with a native language “ kokoo “ meaning knock knock and greeted “Dumelang “ Meaning “good morning”. They prepare their luggage and exit the tents with their luggage. They will find warm water in the face wash basin to wash their faces. They will then get to breakfast. After breakfast they bid the camping staff farewell embark on their game drive vehicle and take a short drive in moremi xakanaxa and exit the park proceeding to maun till 12h00. Guests will be having packed lunch on the way to maun. End of the trip.
