A Taste Of What To Expect...

Chobe National Park is Botswana’s first National Park and has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. The tour can be booked by guests who will be staying in hotels and lodges in Botswana (Kasane) or Victoria falls and Zambia. A chance to see the Big 4 of the African Safari that is the elephant, cape buffalo, leopard and lion and several other species like giraffes, zebra, kudu, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, water bucks and hundreds of bird species.

Day One: Chobe National Park Game Drive and Safari Cruise

We depart Victoria falls at 07:00 am, guests are assisted with boader formalities then we proceed to Chobe National park. A short briefing will follow on some pertinent facts such as safety, and some regional information. Guests will board the boat for their safari cruise at 09:00 am the activity takes 3 hours in Chobe National park. The river cruise is considered one of the highlights of the trip, as one gets the opportunity to get up close and personal with fantastic birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, and of course scores of elephant and Cape buffalo that make their way down to the river to quench their thirst. The boat cruise ends at the Coffee Buzz restaurant at 12h00. There is an opportunity to do last minute shopping in Kasane, as there are no shops within the Park. Guests then depart on an afternoon game drive. Arrive in camp shortly after sunset for drinks around the camp fire and dinner under the stars.

Day Two: Morning and Afternoon Game Drive

Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and a light Continental breakfast vehicles head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats, or the rare Wild Dogs as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and a siesta getting an opportunity to read rest or take a refreshing shower. Afternoon game drive follows afternoon tea.

Chobe National Park has a wide variety of game - the cats and large herbivores such as elephant and buffalo being a highlight, but rarer game such as Puku, Eland, Sable and Roan antelope along with many more common antelope can be viewed here. Return to camp after sunset for a reflective fireside chat. Dinner follows, as always accompanied by the unforgettable sounds of the African night.

Day Three: Morning , Afternoon Game Drive and Transfer Back to your lodge

Guests are woken at dawn with warm water being poured into their basins and a friendly Botswana “dumela” (good day). After a quick cup of tea or coffee and some cereal you head off on an early morning game drive. This time of day is best for finding the big cats as they are still active at this time and chances of seeing them are good. Around mid to late morning guests return to camp for a delicious “bush brunch” and an opportunity to take a refreshing shower. After packing up, you then leave the camp on your last activity which is usually another boat cruise, to be dropped off in Kasane, for guests who will be going to Victoria falls they are transferred to their respective lodge or hotel in victoria Falls. the expected time of arrival will be around 18:30 pm.
